What is Alliansis IT?

Alliansis IT is a cloud-based software application used to conduct an IT vendor survey during or at the end of an engagement (e.g., implementation, consulting, infrastructure, security, system integration, etc.). We provide a set of best-practice questions focused on the performance of a supplier in a technology project. From the survey responses, we compile a meaningful report pack for you. This allows you to better understand how the supplier performed, all with the goal of building an action plan leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Who should use Alliansis IT?

First, you might be in a project or supplier management role at a client organization. At the end of the project, you're interested in better understanding how the IT provider you're working with has performed. The goal is to improve the vendor's effectiveness and efficiency and to apply those learnings to other IT projects. Or second, you might work at a technology provider in a client-facing role and are interested in receiving feedback from your client about their satisfaction with your performance on the engagement. These are two sides of the same coin, with both parties interested in maintaining and improving long-term performance and relationships.

How long does it take to deploy an IT vendor survey?

It takes under 3 minutes to deploy an evaluation. All you have to do is define the specifics of the engagement, set your start and close dates, and enter the email addresses of the participants. We take care of the rest. When the survey closes, you will be notified that your results are ready."

Why should I use this rather than a generic survey tool?

We are ruthlessly focused on building a dedicated tool to solve this specific business issue. This focus allows us to streamline and optimize every step of the supplier performance evaluation process. So, the process is faster, simpler, and you get instant access to meaningful reports once your survey has closed.

Frequently asked question around the evaluation process.

The survey can be taken any time on any device when participating in an IT Vendor Management evaluation

How do I create my first IT vendor survey?

There are three simple steps to create your evaluation. First, enter some key details about the engagement, including the client, supplier, project name, etc. Then, set your survey start and end dates, along with the main time zone in which your survey runs. Finally, enter the email addresses of your participants. That's it—we take care of the rest!

What do the survey participants do?

Your survey participants are invited to undertake the supplier survey via an email invitation, along with reminders. For the "Free" plan they answer the Net Promoter ('would you recommend') question. For the "Basic" plan, they rate the vendor's performance across eight key areas, using an easy-to-understand 5-point scale. They provide optional comments to explain their ratings for each question. Finally, they answer two open-ended questions: what went well and what needs improvement. And that's it—all done!

How do I run the IT vendor survey?

The application takes care of that for you. On the open date, at 9 a.m. in the time zone you nominated, email invitations will be sent to your participants. During the period your survey is open (a maximum of two weeks), you can log in at any stage to check progress. Those participants who have not yet submitted their feedback are listed so you can give them a nudge. They will also be sent reminder emails. On the close date, at 5 p.m. in your nominated time zone, the survey closes and you will receive a notification email that your results are ready to review.

How are the results presented?

We want you to spend your time and energy on analyzing the results and working on the relationship, not having to crunch data and produce endless pivot-tables! So we compile and present the survey results in an intuitive, graphical format. This includes the overall project health score, breakdown scores by area, and ratings by participant. You also can quickly review compiled comments on what went well and what needs improvement. For the upcoming 'Standard' option, you will also be able to download survey results to a flat file (CSV).
